The City of Salem Finance offices are located on the main level of City Hall in Downtown Salem. The department’s employees are responsible for Financial Management, Budgeting, Accounting, Payroll, Utility Billing, Meter Reading, Collections, and Purchasing. These functions are performed not only for the General City Government and Utilities, but also for the Salem School Division.
In addition, the Finance Department serves as fiscal agent for Court-Community Corrections Program and the Cardinal Criminal Justice Academy.
