All solicitations must be submitted to the City of Salem, Purchasing Department, no later than the given date and time. Any Bid or Proposal received after the closed date and time for submittal, whether by mail or otherwise, will be rejected and returned unopened.

The City reserves the right to waive any informality or irregularity in any solicitation received and to reject any and all Bids and/or Proposals, as it deems in the best interest of the City.

ITB # 2018-026 ~ Roof Replacement


Description:

The City of Salem, Virginia, is requesting sealed bids from qualified and licensed Bidders to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, insurance and services necessary to replace the existing roof on Building #4 at the City’s Street & General Maintenance Department, located at 1228 Indiana Street, Salem VA 24153, in accordance with ITB # 2018-026.

There will be a MANDATORY pre-bid meeting at ­­­10:00 a.m. on May 29, 2018 at the Street & General Maintenance Department, located at 1228 Indiana Street. There will also be a site visit after the pre-bid meeting. Bidders MUST attend this meeting in order to bid on this project.

One (1) original and two (2) copies of the sealed bid will be received at the office of the Purchasing Department for the City of Salem until 3:00 PM on June 1, 2018 at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in City Hall, 114 North Broad Street, Salem, Virginia 24153.

The City of Salem reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bidding.       

No bid may be withdrawn after opening except for clerical errors, as set forth in Section 2.2-4330 of the Virginia Code. Bidder must give the City a notice in writing of the request to withdraw a bid within two (2) business days after conclusion of opening.
