Week 1 (May 2) - Nutrition and You

This Nutrition 101 informational session will help you design a plan for eating right. There is no “one size fits all” plan. This session will assist you in learning how to set goals, tips for sticking with them, eating right for your goals, the importance of hydration, carbs, fat, and protein and how they work in your body and much more!

Week 2 (May 9) - Nutrition - It’s Not Just About the Food

There are an enormous number of factors that affect how our body processes the nutrition (food) we put into it. This session takes a deeper look at nutrition and our body. We’ll look at factors such as hormones, the gut microbiome, insulin resistance, and environmental factors.

Week 3 (May 16) - Gut Microbiome and Immunity

A healthy gut microbiome can help build a healthy immune system. In this informational session, learn how your gut health affects your overall health and how the good bacteria in your body keeps your immune system primed to fight infection. We’ll also talk about tips to diversify your diet, which affects the diversity of bacteria in the gut and help shift a gut microbiome to one that boosts a healthy immune response.

Week 4 (May 23) - Gut Microbiome and Chronic Disease.

The state of gut bacteria affects almost every process in the human body. An unhealthy gut can cause a host of issues. In this informational session, we’ll look at the link between an unhealthy gut and hormonal disruptions and chronic inflammation which can precede serious diseases.
