Jazz in July Set for July 16 at Longwood Park

Jazz In July, the annual mid-summer music event in Salem, returns to the Longwood Park Amphitheater on Saturday, July 16, from 3 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. This year’s talented musical lineup includes:

3:00 p.m. CoHo Jazz with Elmo Cole, Carlos Aranguren & Brian Holt

4:10 p.m. Vosbein-Magee Big Band

5:30 p.m. Lenny Marcus Trio & Friends

7:00 p.m. I Can Cook Too featuring Ken Hitchcock & Sue Halloran

8:30 p.m. Shawn Spencer & Star City Swag

Admission to the day-long event is free and jazz fans are encouraged to bring lounge chairs, blankets and picnic dinners. Food items from Rock N’ Roll Diner and Kettle Cooker Express will be available for those wishing to purchase food at the venue. Beer and wine will be sold by Salem Catering, however, outside alcohol will not be allowed.

The concert is sponsored by the Salem Parks & Recreation Department, Q99, MedExpress Urgent Care of Salem and Pepsi. No pets are allowed on the premises at this event. For additional information call the Salem Parks and Recreation Department at 375-3057.
