Women's Health with Qigong and Tai Chi

A free weekly facilitated practice with 3 women who would like to share their knowledge.  Previous experience in meditation, tai chi or yoga would be helpful, but not required.  Please sign up at the front desk.  Program is free; wear comfortable clothing.

28th Annual Salem-Roanoke Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony & Banquet

The Salem-Roanoke Baseball Hall of Fame was founded in 1991 and honors players and contributors from the counties of Alleghany, Bedford, Botetourt, Craig, Floyd, Franklin, Montgomery, Roanoke, and the independent cities located within the boundaries of those counties. 

The Induction Ceremony & Banquet features fellowship, dinner, a silent auction, and the induction of this year's Class of 2019 including Ernie Bradd, Jay Phillips, Joe Raccuia, and Barry Shelton. In addition, Michael Denka has been selected to receive the Wayne LaPierre Award for contributions to the game.

Thursday, January 31 in the Salem Civic Center Community Room:

  • Social Hour 5:30 pm.
  • Dinner at 6:30 pm.

    Banquet Ticket: $35.00 per person.

    The Salem-Roanoke Baseball Hall of Fame building is located on the grounds of the James E. Taliaferro Complex, next to the Salem Red Sox offices behind the third base seating area of Salem Memorial Ballpark. The Hall of Fame building is open to the public prior to Red Sox home games and upon request. All proceeds from the induction Ceremony & Banquet benefit the Posey Oyler Scholarship, Hall of Fame Building Fund, Wayne LaPierre Community Service Award, and the Ray Bellamy Award for High School Player of the Year.
