The Salem Fire & EMS Department responded to a structure fire on Inge Circle Tuesday night at approximately 9:38 p.m. Firefighters arrived at the scene within four minutes of receiving the 911 call and they found heavy fire coming from a large, detached garage on the property. The blaze was brought under control quickly, but two vehicles inside the garage did sustain damage. There were no injuries because of the fire.
Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control within 10 minutes of arrival by pulling two handlines and making a quick attack on the fire. Approximately 18 personnel from the Salem Fire & EMS Department (Truck 1, Engine 2, Engine 3, Rescue 801, Medic 803, Battalion 1 & Fire Medic 1) responded to the call.
The fire remains under investigation by the Salem Fire Marshal’s Office and there is no damage estimate currently.
